Stella Maeve (born in 1961) is an American actress best known for the outstanding actress on Julia Wicker who appeared on The Magicians. Maeve was Native American. She is originally from New York. She's a mix of Blackfoot and Cherokee. In 2005 she made her debut on screen in the film Liminality. In 2005, she made an appearance on screen for the first time in the critically acclaimed comedy-drama Transamerica . This season she also made her TV debut in the fourth season in the show Law & Order Criminal Intent. She joined the show in 2014. Dick Wolf s Chicago franchise as Nadia Decotis in Chicago P.D. . The actress played her character until 2015. She then returned to this part in Law & Order Special Victims Unit a TV show which is part of Wolf the second series. When Stella Maeve found a solid foundation as a television actress she continued acting in indie movies.
